Progressive practice in extensive eye care services is seeking a hands-on dedicated practice manager. This position will be responsible for the overall administrative operation of 2 practice locations in Aurora and Parker, Colorado with 11 staff members. In addition to the administrative duties and assisting providers with assigned tasks, the Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that both Clinics functions effectively and efficiently on a daily basis.


  • Leadership: expected to develop a strategic vision and the organization’s culture and values and is responsible and accountable for cultivating a patient focused culture.
  • Financial Operations: Manages all financials, including medical and office expenses, cash flow statements, sales and property tax reports, bank accounts, and month end reports.
  • Office Operations: Ensure daily operations of both medical offices run efficiently including manage clinical staff, patient flow, front desk and maintenance of office equipment; ensure operation, maintenance and security of computers and data, printers and local area network, and provide liaison with computer consultant; manage contracts and service with vendors; monitor phone system; provide liaison with building management firm and relations with landlord; and assist staff with office operations and proper procedures.
  • Marketing: ensures website is updated, periodically posts social media information, messaging in practice management system, design of collateral and marketing literature
  • Human Resources: Responsible for managing all staff, including hiring/firing, orientation, and benefits administration. Directs the development and implementation of practice procedures and controls. Coordinate optimal communication and information flow within and between practice locations.
  • Billing/Collections: supports the Business Office Manager by managing daily cash/check deposits and posting payments into the practice management systems, balancing end of day batches

  • Technical skills and technical management are critical in this position.
  • Accustomed to working in ambiguous situations by embracing ambiguity and challenge.
  • Position wears multiple hats and manages multiple responsibilities, multi-tasking is a must.
  • Position requires some flexibility with hours – must be able to be onsite at both locations, based upon patient volume schedule
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills are required; proven problem-solving abilities, effective time management and a friendly, positive attitude.
  • Ability to be a team player, willing to respond quickly and flexibly to changing events and work assignments in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
  • Willingness to take initiative, perform a variety of assignments, and be able to prioritize work.
  • Experience in human resources and managing a team of staff members.
  • Proficiency with several software platforms, AdvancedMD a plus
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks
  • Familiarity with ophthalmology and optometry is a plus.
  • Digital media and graphic design experience a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an administrator overseeing medical specialty practice operations
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial management and/or bookkeeping
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects at once
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with various software programs
  • Experience in managing employees at multiple locations
